One baby step closer to my dream!

I have been reluctant if I'm going to join this "Wear my Design Contest" by Ensembles. Can I make a great design? What if I fail? There's so many great designers out there? Will this contest affect my brand negatively, because I'd have to solicit votes? The list of petty excuses goes on. But 50% of me I felt that I like to joined the contest. I just felt excited to join. Maybe if I win, I'll have 2 to 3 more Facebook followers. It's just so thrilling to join a contest. I've always been so indecisive but in the end, I decided to join anyway.





I know myself so much that I will have second thoughts and doubts during the contest. So to prevent myself from that, I'll just make myself busy soliciting votes from strangers. 


So it would be epic if you'd help me relieve my anxiety. Your one vote will give me one less reason to be scared.

HELP ME DREAM

Finally! I just made my Facebook page. I'm so excited because I wanted to step up my game. I wanna be a serious designer already. I feel like I'm ready to accept orders already. So I'm spreading the news.

If you're wondering my banner photo, it's was during the Slim's exhibit where my school project was chosen to be showcased. Slim's has a lot of talented students. I hope that you can also see the exhibits because it would be amazing to see the details of each garment. I'd be biased and say that they were all amazing because I personally see everyone here in the exhibit get stressed out, have no sleep, little time to eat and working till the last minute because Sir Mark, the president of the school, have several screenings to check if the garments looks good.

Chanel-like jacket for Php 20.00


I love this jacket because it looks similar to the iconic Chanel Jacket. This is the best item from this batch. It has sequins, it's black, the button is gold and it has texture. Actually the fabric kinda look like a skirt I got from F21. So if I feeling extra girly, I'm gonna wear them together.




Denim Jacket for Php 65.00

I love jackets, especially if they look tough. That's why I also love this jacket. It's biker, it's denim,  it has an epaulet, nice zipper, and it has nice studs. I love everything about this jacket, even the length is perfect.



Black Pleated Skirt for Php 20.00

Just a simple black skirt with pleats. What I love about this is that the pleats are not flat or ironed. However, I know that this won't look good on me because I have big hips. If you're like me with big hips, never ever wear skirts like this. I can imagine already that it will look hideous on me so I'm giving it away. But I love the style, though.



Brand new red skirt for Php 20.00

This is what I love about thrift shops. Sometimes I find brand new items. What I mean is that it still has tags on it. Some of the items on thrift shops were factory rejects and unsold stocks.

Love this red asymmetrical skirt. It looks smart yet trendy.  I'll probably wear this during a job interview for a media company like events, ad agency or magazines, etc. The media industry is more open to letting their employees express themselves through clothes. Actually, I have seen magazine employees just wearing shorts during work. I'd love to work there where you can wear whatever you want. Nice.



Aztec Crop Top for Php 55.00

I love this easy breezy top. I can just wear it with just shorts when I'm feeling lazy or I can wear this to the beach. Very now, very chill.



 
Leather with studs top for Php 75

Oh, how I love this piece! It's black, it's leather and it has studs! Three of my favorite elements all in one piece!

Sweater for Php 30.00

I'm not really a fan of sweaters but I'm drawn to this sweater because of the interesting and subtle color blocking pattern. 


So far, this is my luckiest thrift shopping experience. I'm so happy and excited to wear them. After searching 14 thrift shops for these pieces, I can say it's worth it.

BTW this dress is called "The dream." Because I have thought that every single design that was turned into life should be called "The dream come true" :)

AVICII in MANILA 2013

So why a fashion blogger blogging about a DJ. Well, if you guys must know, I’m into house music and he’s having a concert here in MANILA! YES! MANILA! It will be held in MOA Arena. It was supposed to be on April 4 but moved to May 15 (Wednesday) because he’ll be having an operation in his pancreas. 


Anyway, as you can see, this awesome hottie is young and just 23 but he’s already the top 3 DJ based on DJ Magazine (check it out here: Djmag.com). He was the one who created top hits like Levels, Silhouette, Avicii x YOU, I could be the one and Fade into Darkness. Check it out: AviciiOfficialVEVO. I also suggest Fire, Summerburst, Level Two, and Jailbait.


What I like about house music, especially his’, is that it’s magical. Cheesy as it sounds, when I listen to these music, I close my eyes and just dream away. Gives a feeling that you’re out of this world; escaping the sadness. So you guys have to listen to him and just escape it all. And, his music is easy, catchy, makes you feel young, no worries at all. I can’t really explain it, so you guys just have to listen to him. He’s the one who dragged me into house music and the reason why I wanted to be a DJ.


Anyway, I’m planning to watch his concert, but it’s too pricey, for someone who doesn’t really splurge on concerts. So imagine how badly I wanna see this concert. I’m planning to buy VIP standing (the priciest and the nearest), and I’m willing to go alone. Geek much?
But in case I can’t go to that concert, I think he’ll be having a gig in Republiq in Resorts World Manila, so maybe I’ll just go there..

Runaway to Boracay.

I was frustrated and sad because I am not yet done with my thesis and I still don't have OJT... and I was really feeling down that time... and my friends are keep on asking me to go to the beach with them... and so I said... maybe Boracay will take away my anxieties... 


We went there through 2Go Travel, it's not a plane, No! It's a ship. We travel for about 10 hours just to go to Boracay! :)) This is how the cabin look like.. :)


Then we went to Tanawin Apartment for my friend's cousin's french party for their wedding. :) It's so cool 'cause their party is so different from our kind of party. It's just like what I see in movies!

But nevertheless, it was still fun!


And then, we head to the white beach to have a night swimming... but instead, my two friends bury us! and took pictures because we fell asleep... so relaxing! :)

Few days before February 14!!! Are you still single? Well, don’t be sad. It’s not like you’re going to die… and it’s not yet the end of humanity… although it’s already 2012… But seriously, look at me… 18 years of being single… still alive and living my life!  Yeah… sometimes I feel a bit lonely because I want someone to care for me, love me, kiss me, hug me, call me baby, say I love you, say sweet things… and all the things a person can do to his or her love that I didn’t mention… Like what you want your crush to do or say to you… :)  But as years pass by of being single… I manage to find my happiness, somehow… even without a special someone… Because I realized that being in a relationship isn’t everything, it’s just a slice of what there really is. . .  I learn to find the other side of my life to focus my attention to…  like dancing, arts, fashion… family and friends too! Hang outs, parties, bonding time with those people who truly care for you with out any given “title”… Because at the end of the day, no matter how you stress yourself in finding that person in your dreams… you won’t find fulfillment… you’ll just be frustrated and lonely… In the first place, what is the reason you wanted to have a relationship? Isn’t it being happy and being in-love? … Furthermore, being alone, stressed and lonely is the least things you want to be, right?… So why bother? Try to follow what I did. Maybe you’ll stop stressing yourself and live a happier life. Along the way, you’ll find that person that you really like, and who will also like you just the same… maybe he or she is even greater than the person in your dreams… you’ll never know! Besides… i have read that guys don’t like girls who are obsessed with having a boyfriend… well, that’s also the mindset of girls… Guys who are desperate for girls is automatically friendzoned. ;) So don’t worry if your single! ‘cause you’re not alone . . there are lots of single people out there too, that’s waiting for you. You just need to be patient and smile and be happy with your current ” Facebook Status.” ;)

As you can see in the first few photos, the ground has dark spots, that was actually humongous raindrops. They are literally humongous, but the shoot must go on because I wanna show my post to Nike to thank her :)
